Monika Olszewska is a multidisciplinary designer. Her work is diverse ranging from conventional identities to food packagings. Originally she come form Podlasie, polish region known for its hospitality, lasts primeval forests and delicious food of a long tradition. Currently Monika live and work in Warsaw. Here she graduated from Industrial Design and Visual Communication Department of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Her diploma work Flavours of Podlasie is recognized internationally. Since 10 years it is published in magazines and publications around the world. In 2005 Monika co-founded a design collective BabaAkcja, one of her most important projects. The initiative resulted in a 6-year collaboration in design and conceptual design field and participation in major international design exhibitions like: ICFF New York, Tokyo Design Week, Seoul Design Week, Design Mai, Berlin, Design Act Moscow. BabaAkcja was selected for the representative group of Polish women designers in the English publication Discovering Women in PolishDesign: Interviews and Conversations. Monika has been working independently since 2010 when she run her own design studio focused on packaging design and brand identity. Her biggest success is Red Dot Design Award – for the brand identity and packaging system for Legajny Tomato Farm.
