Monika Olszewska (nee Ostaszewska) is Polish born artist and designer. Her work is diverse ranging from conventional identities to food packagings. Her inspiration comes from childhood which she spent in Podlasie region known for lasts primeval forests and cold winters, being mama of Bruno, exploring world and love for art. Monika graduated from Design Department of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Her biggest success is Red Dot Design Award – for the brand identity and packaging system for Polish Tomato Farm. In 2005 she co-founded a design collective Baba Akcja Studio. The initiative resulted in a 6-year collaboration in conceptual design field and participation in major international design exhibitions: ICFF New York, Tokyo Design Week, Seoul Design Week, Design Mai, Berlin. When not working on commissioned projects she makes wild flower boquets, paints and experiments with diy-s toys for her son.
